I don’t like zoom lenses; it’s a personal quirk. The kit lens I bought with my Fujifilm X-T5 is the Fujinon XF 18-55mm which, although good, operates at F/4 when set at 55mm. This requires revealing the full lens, which isn’t convenient for quick shooting. I prefer shooting quickly, without searching the right focus length. I had long considered a 50mm F/2 lens before buying the camera, and now I finally own one — it is shorter, smaller, faster, more secure. Perfect for street photography. The seller told me they bought it in Japan, giving this lens an interesting backstory. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll travel with it to its motherland

Unlike the 18-55mm, this lens provides a very soft image, which I love. This photo of the church is just a quick test. More photos can be found in my Google Photos album. Also, this lens’s best feature is its weatherproof design, eliminating worries about rain and snow
